Search for an Animator intern!!

We are on the lookout for an animator to partake in a 2 month internship starting ASAP until the end of July.

For this internship position you will work on a specific animation we are developing at Bold Creative studio, and will need to be competent in both Flash and After Effects and keen to apply those skills to this animation.

General Information about the Animation:

Synposis

Wish you Waziristan will open as Abdul and a comrade unglamorously fumble with a piece of 30 year old military equipment on the Afghan border. After unexpectedly letting off a mortar round, the doom-laden roar of an incoming shell sets him thinking…
Recalling the windy shore of the English east coast, Abdul takes us on a whirlwind tour of the points in his life that led him to this moment. From the oppressive fascism of local skinheads to the promise of a better world, he reveals how he ended up at a Jihadi training camp in Eastern Afghanistan –and why key parts of the experience have left him disillusioned.
Waking up in a pile of rubble after his ‘near death’ experience, Abdul decides to return to the UK. Coming ‘home’ with new eyes, he’s surprised to discover his elderly neighbor awaiting his return…

Told with dry wit through gritty stylised animation, the film will make you laugh and make you think.

The Young Foundation

The Young Foundation are offering up to 10 young people aged 13-19 years training and support to design and undertake peer consultations utilising a range of new media skills.

The consultations will be fed in to a national report on youth leadership, entrepreneurship and employment.

Young people participating will be able to attend a high profile event in London to launch the research and will be part of a national campaign to put youth leadership on the map, called The Youth Of Today – check the weblink below:

They are looking for young people who are interested in the challenges young people face in the labour market and have good ideas on how to creatively represent the views of young people in this leading research paper.
